5 Must Excel Add Ins​​ For Data Science Practice

Below is the list of five important Data Science practice add-ins used in Microsoft Excel.

1. Power Pivot: Power Pivot add-in can be used to perform powerful data analysis and create sophisticated data models. With Power Pivot add-in, you can blend a large amount of data from various sources, do information analysis quickly, and share analytical insights easily.

2. Solver Add-In: What-if analysis tool does for optimization; Solver is the same. The main function of Solver includes finding an optimal value in the target cell, on the worksheet. Its process starts by changing a set of cells related to the target cell to find an optimal value subject to the constraints that you set. Some application and examples include to determine the most efficient shipping routes, maximize income/sales/etc., or discover the best product mix.

3.Power Query: MS Power Query is an Excel add-in that boosts the self-service Business Intelligence experience in MS Excel by modification and simplifying data access, discovery and collaboration.

4. Excel Fuzzy Match: The Fuzzy Lookup Add-In for Excel Query performs fuzzy matching of textual data in MS Excel. The matching is very robust towards a variety of errors including abbreviations, spelling mistakes, synonyms and added/missing data.

5. Analysis Toolpak: Analysis ToolPack saves time in developing complex statistical or engineering analyses. The user provides the relevant data and requirements for each analysis, and Analysis ToolPack calculates the results in an output table using appropriate statistical macro functions. Some tools may generate charts as well in addition to output tables.
