For the Raspberry Pi, BirdNET-Pi is a sister project that offers a simple-to-install software package. A lighter version of BirdNET may be used to continually record and analyze data if the Pi is connected via a USB sound card. This is followed by a web-based interface where the user can witness real-time bird sounds being identified. It can also analyze sound, produce spectra, save recordings to disk, and send warnings based on what it hears.

BirdNET-Pi is a free and open-source project, and for the BirdNET-Pi team, the emphasis is on keeping things private until the user wishes to share them with others.
